People are needed to provide quality foster homes for abused, neglected, and special needs children, ages six and up in Snohomish County. Foster parents can commit to helping children in their home full time or as little as one weekend a month.
Compass Health Therapeutic Foster Care foster parents receive:- non-taxable, therapeutic compensation
- twenty-four hour a day on-call assistance from Compass case mangers and therapists
- paid mileage
- excellent training with child care provided and dinner served
- “mini-breaks” where children are taken on fun outings
- professional respect
- a team approach
- scheduled respite (one weekend off per month)
The Compass Health Therapeutic Foster Care program serves children who have mental health difficulties, often resulting from abuse and/or neglect. The program provides specialized foster care to children and adolescents, from ages six to seventeen. The treatment program is family-based, blending intensive therapy with family living skills.
Compass Health foster parents provide an opportunity for children to live in stable, supportive, caring homes. After receiving specialized training, foster parents team up with professionals to develop and implement individual treatment plans addressing the full spectrum of the child’s needs. Compass Health Therapeutic Foster Care serves children from Snohomish County Washington and licenses home in Snohomish County, North King, South Skagit Counties.
